Construction Alerts

The Data Center Relocation project will move WWU's data center from the Academic Center to Communications Facility on the main campus. The relocation will provide more robust telecom infrastructure for campus and an emergency generator to back up all systems reducing future interruptions. The Academic Instructional Clinics parking lot will remain closed through mid-September, 2026. Work will continue through summer of 2027.

Construction for the Western Welcome Center, located at the south end of the academic core of campus, began March 24, 2026. Completion is expected in fall of 2027. Safety fencing will go up during spring break, enclosing Flag Plaza and parking lot 19G, both of which will remain closed for the duration of construction.
